← When I'm Not Being a Good Christian Example for My Kids

Day 1 — Face It

Admitting Our Stumbles

Romans 3:23

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Today's Teaching

It's easy to feel bad when we don't act like we should, especially around our kids. We want them to see Jesus in us, but sometimes we mess up. We might get angry, speak harshly, or worry too much. This feeling of not being a good example can weigh us down. But God already knows we aren't perfect. The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned and falls short of God's perfect plan. This isn't to make us feel worse, but to help us see that we all need God's grace. Admitting our mistakes is the first step towards letting God help us change and grow.

Putting It Into Practice

Let go of the heavy feeling of always having to be perfect. Simply admit to God that you sometimes fall short, and ask for His help.

Today's Challenge

Today, openly admit to God (in your own words) one specific way you've recently felt you weren't a good example for your children. Do not try to fix it, just acknowledge it.

Think About It

What specific actions or words do I regret showing my children lately?

Let's Pray

Dear God, I admit that I don't always show my children the best example. I fall short and make mistakes. Please forgive me for those times and help me to be honest about my need for You. Thank You for Your endless grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today's Takeaway

Honesty with God is the first step to real change.
