Song

The Light Still Stands

By Joseph Cutler ·

I imagine a man standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The wind is strong. The sky is dark. The waves crash against the rocks below. He’s been through storms before.

There are seasons when the wind feels louder than the truth.

When culture shouts.
When doubt whispers.
When the waves hit hard enough that you question whether the Light is still there.

But I’ve discovered something in my own life.

The Light never left.

It never flickered.
It never panicked.
It never adjusted itself to fit the storm.

It simply stood.

Jesus Christ is not a temporary shelter.
He is the Rock.

The world may debate Him.
Mock Him.
Ignore Him.

But when the storms roll in, even skeptics look for something steady.

My prayer is that when people hear this song, they won’t just remember a lighthouse.

They’ll remember that the cross still stands.
Grace still flows.
And hope still shines.

And no matter how wild the waves become…

The Light still stands.
