Our Father Speaks

How the vision began

“Our Father Speaks” is a vision that began more than twenty years ago. Years ago I went to a conference and picked up a little book by a well known pastor and author named Peter Lord — “Our Father Speaks Through Hebrews.” That book ministered to me so deeply that I began sharing it with everyone I knew, ordering it by the case just to give it away.

The last time I called to order a case, I spoke with Peter Lord himself. To my dismay, he told me he only had a few copies left and had no plans to publish more. As I shared what the book had come to mean in my life, and how it had blessed so many others, he made me an offer: he would give me the rights so I could keep publishing it and keep blessing people with it.

Written as a letter from your Father

This book is truly anointed. It is written as if our Father in Heaven is writing to us, His children, personally. Every short chapter begins with “My Child.” So when you read each short message, it is as though He — your Father in Heaven — is speaking directly to you.

And then came the music

Years ago I had the thought that a gifted friend of mine should start recording some music. Every Saturday morning we would set up, pray, and let the Lord direct whatever happened. I will never forget that first session — the presence of the Lord was so strong in the sanctuary. Marc sat down at the piano and began to play, and you could tell this was no ordinary recording session.

Marc would hardly ever look at the keys and rarely made a mistake. When I asked him to play something again, it was never the same. That is why I believe in my heart it was the anointing — he could not remember what he played or how he played it. Over the course of a year we recorded more than twenty hours of music, and we believe they are to stay in their original form, with nothing added.

How to receive these messages

Each day as you read an “Our Father Speaks” message, imagine that your Father in Heaven is speaking to you personally. Don't be in a hurry. Read the message, then read His promises to you, then let the music keep playing and sit quietly. It is often in those moments that you will hear the Father speak to your heart specifically about your life.

Wouldn't you like to know why you were created? What your purpose is? What decisions you are to make? Who better to ask than the One who created you — your Father.

The vision today

My vision is that “Our Father Speaks” will allow everyone in the world to experience the wonderful presence of their Father in Heaven and enjoy a personal relationship with Him. It is my prayer that through these messages you will learn WHO your Father is, HOW MUCH He loves you, and ALL that He has done to make full provision for every need in your life.
